Police said the 3-year-old boy died after he went to sleep in a car outside the South Florida Free School.

Where both his parents are staff members.

The Miami Herald reported that the child was one of several children from the same family that attends the lubavitch Education Center in Miami Gardens.

The temperature outside was in the mid 90s all night. The unresponsive child was taken to the hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

While the boy’s father was being questioned by police late Monday night, the tragedy hit close to home and has affected many in our school community, the Herald reported.

“No words can capture the heartbreak and sadness we feel,” said the center’s dean Rabbi Benzion Korf, a therapist to staff and students at the center on Tuesday, and bereavement counseling data available.
