LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – Recalling the tradition of Barbara Curry – The Lawton-Fort Sill people group is grieving the deficiency of a compelling lady.
Barbara Curry died on Wednesday morning. She was powerful and most popular for her sure soul and volunteerism.
Barbara Curry was a companion to many, she committed her life to offer in return and was essential for some associations like Lawton Business Women, the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Lawton-Fort Sill, and the Red Cross, and the Women that Vote Arts Corporation, which she made.
There was certainly not a dry eye at the Lawton Business Women’s gathering as companions and partners of Barbara Curry shared tales about the effect she had on their lives.
Everybody had their own exceptional memory of Curry, yet what they all shared for all intents and purposes was the narrative of how God utilized her to support them when they truly required an embrace, text, or a grin.
Yvonne Landmark, leader of Lawton Business Women, said Curry was bold.
“So when she received a, she had an incredibly astounding amount of confidence, and when she felt like God was leading her in a particular direction, she was wholly bold and wholly valiant.
What’s more, she was an awe-inspiring phenomenon in the most ideal manner. She didn’t leave anything and nobody stood among her and what she felt her central goal was,” Landmark said.
Curry was enthusiastic about offering in return. Her adoration for serving others started when she was 8 years of age.
Dr. Krista Ratliff, the president and CEO of the Lawton Fort-Sill office of trade, said Curry chipped in day to day.
She said Curry was the substance of their association.
“What’s more, it was an extraordinary delight and joy when you came into the chamber and she invited you.
Whether you were a nearby resident coming in for a guide, or you’re a tourist lost searching for headings.
Being invited by Barbara’s warm and irresistible grin was simply so consoling,” Dr. Ratliff said.
A few state and city authorities have given explanations for Curry’s passing
City hall leader Stan Booker said to some degree quote:
“Her devotion and love for the local area should have been visible in her grin and the delight she brought others. Barbara adored Lawton and Lawton cherished her.”
